The journey
to change our underserved Communities into a thriving Community
Golacity Community Resource (GCR) is a non-profit organization that provides direct services to disadvantaged communities. We work to generate improvements within a community on the local level. We recruit volunteers passionate about helping to carry out the organization's mission.
GCR serves primarily as the middleman for resources and actions within community development.
What We Are Doing In The Community
Community Service
Our aim is to improve the lives of others, especially disadvantaged communities through direct services. Direct service includes tutoring, job training, serving meals, , helping refugee families, and more.
Entrepreneurship Training
The Entrepreneur Training Program (ETP) is a 24-hour business start-up training for entrepreneurs that want to start a new business but are not sure where to begin. Participants can also take advantage of our free business consulting services in order to help them complete their business plan, receive the proper licenses and permits, and apply for start-up business loans.
Work Readiness
Work readiness training programs prepare participants to secure, retain, and succeed in a new job. Work readiness programs also help participants develop effective work habits that facilitate their ongoing success. On a local basis, our employer partners offer insights and information on what it takes to succeed in their business.

COLLEGE TOUR ‘23
We provide students, parents, teachers, and counselors with the unique opportunity to visit multiple college campuses in a single trip. These multi-campus college tours give students a solid understanding of the history, culture, and traditions that have shaped the schools’ collective legacy.
Our college tours are ideal for students seeking to get answers to important questions. With access to students, financial aid, admissions staff, and faculty members, during our college visits students learn about class sizes, campus life, and details about applying, as well as scholarships opportunities.
